I noticed on the Digimon wiki it stated that Vaccine, Virus and Data had a Rock, Paper, Scissor deal going on with Data having an advantage over Vaccine, Vaccine having an advantage over Virus and Virus having an advantage over Data.
This could just be a small bonus a +1 to accuracy against your advantaged type and maybe some kind of penalty against disadvantage. Not sure what would be the best way to handle it but it'd shake things up a bit.

Actually that ruling is planned for the Blackout Campaign Book (when I *cough* finally get around to it). The Attribute Triangle rarely if ever presents itself in the franchise (only ever really in the video games and touched on in various media, but it's also considered to be a bonus, but never enough on its own to decide a fight), however it is an option I have made rules for. Here's a quick copypaste: Attribute Triangle As one should have made note of by now: Digimon have Attributes of either Virus, Vaccine, or Data. Within this Setting, this will be made into a mechanical bonus! Virus Digimon will have an easier time fighting Data Digimon, Data Digimon will have an easier time beating Vaccine Digimon, and Vaccine Digimon will be able to beat Virus Digimon with ease! Whenever a Digimon is Attacking a target whose Attribute it Trumps, it gains +2 to it’s Accuracy Pool! This is a very minor bonus, however, and presumably won’t be worth much later in, but it’s worth making note of! Every little bit counts! Just remember the following: Data > Vaccine > Virus > Data.Qualities for either Dungeoneering or Digimon World based Campaigns, detailed in the Blackout Campaign Book (preview is in the handbook section of the main blog ATM. I'm going to be restarting the book from scratch, but these Qualities will remain there. However, they're either too niche to justify in the main book, or require this alternative ruling on Attributes to work anyways, which isn't a core rule.): Excuse the terrible grammar of it's/its, I always have trouble with that one when I'm typing away. Edit so that the Blackout Campaign Book is just, well, present on the Forums as it is (25 pages): drive.google.com/file/d/0BwgTPexfebTbS2Y5WlJuY0hJS1E/view?usp=sharing

That's about what I had in mind, with the +2 to accuracy. This will be interesting for what I am cooking up (if my general procrastination doesn't get the better of me, been the death of many good ideas I have)
