Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm Pokepotter4 (duh). I got into digimon through the anime. Only adventure and 02 aired in Norway so I was out for some years, but I got back with digimon world dawn. I haven't played in a D:DA campaign yet, mostly because of time zones, hopefully it'll be easier to set up pbp games here.

My name is Gatamigo, but you can call me "Gata." I only got into Digimon during the original airing of Frontier's American dub; but quickly became obsessed and did what I could to catch up. I too have yet to play a DDA campaign, mostly due to a lack of fellow Digimon fans in my area, but also because I GM a Pokemon Tabletop United session weekly irl. Kinda hard to memorize two systems when you don't have the chance to put one of those two into use, y'know? I wouldn't be against joining a game through this forum, but I'm not in any place to actively GM. -w-;;

Honestly, DDA is significantly simpler to keep track of than PTU, but that said I completely understand. Oh. Right. Erm. Sup. I'm TM93, your resident Admin of these forums, if that's too long TM will work too. As some of you are probably aware by now, I'm hardly the system creator, the Digimon Emperor, but as the system had been in development limbo for over 2 years by the time I stumbled across it, I figured it was just fine to pick up and do some work on my own. It started off simple, a few friends and I making house rules for using the system on our own games. Then it got more in-depth, I wanted to not only show people the work I did, but to make the system better than before, to remove the real 'trap' choices, or to make them viable (Weapon was previously 100% useless, as was Brawler Specialization). Balance is probably a bit of an issue, some choices are still simply better than others, but if real issues pop up, I'll try to address them. There I go rambling again, anyways, it started up again with me making a tumblr blog for the system, it's not very popular, only about a dozen followers, but it's getting the message out, and people seem to enjoy the system when they play it, and I enjoy seeing that. But eventually I realized "this isn't enough, we need a forum" and well here we are. It's not perfect, but it fits my budget (free) and gets the job done. I'm not expecting some massive following like the PTX forums have (Digimon in and of itself simply isn't as popular as Pokemon is, sad as it may be), but we're off to a solid start with a few members in about a week. As for my Digimon history, I started off like many kids in the 90's with Adventure and Adventure 02, sadly by the time Tamers came into play my schedules got busy. Even then I didn't catch the full series, I actually only watched them in full about a year ago, in order (I couldn't get past episode 30ish of Frontier, it was just... bad, but I stand by the fact that Savers was a hype train from start to finish. I look forward to Tri, and eventually to finishing Xros Wars). I dabbled in the games, but they were all either too convoluted and ill-explained for my liking (Digimon World), or simply too grindy (Digimon World 2). As you might have noticed by now, I actually even took the time to read a few manga installments, namely V-Tamer 01 and NEXT, which were both perfectly fine reads, albeit fairly simple and straightforward overall, and I've had a soft spot for the Veedramon line ever since I finished V-Tamer 01. I also adore reading up on lore with Digimon, it can really make flavoring an encounter significantly easier when it exists.

Ello all. Name's L@n1, but you can call me Lani. I got into almost all the Mon's in the 90's as they came out (Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher, etc), and still quite enjoy them (I lament Monster Rancher being more or less a passing thought for most these days). TM93 has been stuck with me for a while now, bless his heart, while I stick around and 'mess up' his games and the like as he makes them.
By the by, if someone wants to try making a custom Digimon that is a fusion of Renamon and Lucario, I wouldn't stop you <__<

Hey everyone. Yuko, (or Kira) is fine. I remember watching the original Digimon as a kid. It was honestly one of my favorite shows on TV. I recently RPed Wizardmon on a forum board, and then soon after a group of friends decided I should the next (and second) to GM a session. I was going to use the old system, but I was actually wondering if anyone had updated it and I stumbled upon an old forum post which lead to tumblur which eventually lead me here!
So yeah, currently trying to set up a bunch of NPCs and smooth out the story for the campaign. I may even post something in the campaign settings, if I get bold enough. I have limited faith in my abilities since it'd be my second tabletop and first time GMing. At any rate, hey.

I welcome the addition of ideas for campaigns other than mine, honestly I've been nothing but a GM for the system myself, I want to see what other people think of the digimon series in a tabletop setting. Don't feel shy about posting anything here.

Hey all, I started watching Digimon when Adventure came to the states way back during those simpler times. I watched Adventure-Tamers but kind of didn't have the channel to watch Frontier. I'm suuuuuper excited for Tri!
And I'm here because I find the project interesting and full of childhood nostalgia for me.

Post by War Planets on Oct 21, 2015 18:04:17 GMT
Greetings and hallucinations to all! I am War Planets (War, Planets, WP are all acceptable variations). I got into Digimon, Pokemon, and Monster Rancher all when they first aired in the States (Woo for FoxKids and Kids WB). I have seen all Digimon up until Savers (I hear it's good so I will eventually get around to watching it). Xros Wars (Fusion) was just a huge turn off for me (please don't kill me for my opinion).
I have been in Tabletop Gaming since maybe '98 (when I was a wee lad), primarily revolving around Star Wars. I only do Tabletops in person, PBP never appealed to me. I found DDA probably about a year before TM93 posted on the PT forums. I actually did full stats for 366 Digimon (mainly just the figures which I own and some of their alternate evolutionary lines) and their attacks, but never did anything with it. I can't remember if it is all under 0.07 or 0.08 of The Digimon Emperor's stuff, but it kinda depressed me when I discovered it was all obsolete.
Anyways, happier things. I am currently in a Star Wars Saga game (combined I have been in about 8 different ones, 3 of which actually finished), I have ran a Final Fantasy D6 game, and I have been in 3 PTA games (only one of which finished). I am also currently designing a Monster Rancher 2 Tabletop, MR2 because that is the only game where everything's Stats are posted and easy to find (at least on Gamefaqs).
Digimon has always been my favorite of the three monster series and I am a glutton for Tabletop gaming so that is why I am here. If nothing else than to show my support.
Edit: Forgot to mention: I am really bad at being a GM, I can GM assist all the day long because everyone can use some help (so long as I can play as well). I also like playing without assisting, but in my group I'm the one that owns everything we use and I find all of the helpful resources to make things smoother.
Edit:Edit: I am rarely active, I will probably check the forums regularly but not post much. When I am active I am online for about an entire day or a few days in a row, then become inactive again.

Hello! I'm Tyilin, and I've been a fan of Digimon for the past 15 years or so (though my pre-first-grade memories are a bit hazy, so I couldn't say when exactly). I followed the english release all the way up through Frontier, and then sort of forgot about it for a while. I've stopped watching the shows, but I do still play some of the games.
I got into tabletop games since late 2013, and have been playing ever since. Eventually I found PT_, and through their forums DDA -though it didn't really catch my attention until a bit more recently.
Earlier this year I began GMing, and I'm planning too give DDA a shot -once I've actually tried it as a player, of course.

Finally taking the time to drop in and say "hey." Not really much I feel like sharing about myself at the moment, but that might be partially due to my lungs having been attempting to forcibly eject themselves through my mouth for the last five or six days. What I can say for sure is that I have a deeply rooted fixation with Mon games, and I look forward to making my own contributions to the board once my body has either accepted or destroyed the parasitic sublifeform that has claimed it as its current host.

We're pretty quiet, but that's due to a lack of members overall (we have less than 30 still I think). I may have to look into advertising on Reddit after making some non-promoting posts, and making a 1D4Chan page for the system. That will hopefully reel in a few more regular forum visitors and members.
