So, as a startoff thread to share some war stories, specifically the ones that made you, as a GM, or if your GM reached that point with you, where they simply had to say "No, that doesn't work and you aren't allowed to do that in my game", based on this wonderful list here.
I'll start things off.
Things Mr. Welch is no longer allowed to do in DDA
- no longer allowed to pump purely into Accuracy and leave all his other Stats at 4. At the Mega Stage.
- if he is somehow allowed to put OVER 50 POINTS INTO ACCURACY, you are never allowed to take an Offensive Stance. Ever.
- no longer allowed to kill off a character simply because he's bored.
- no longer allowed to play any character with an unnatural fixation with fire.
- no longer allowed to ask if he can have a grappling hook. Yes, a grapple gun counts as a grappling hook.
- no longer allowed to ask for custom Qualities.
- no longer allowed to steal weapons from Digimon and try to use them with their Tamer.
- no longer allowed to just 'pop back home for the one thing they forgot' and attempt to bring what is essentially every object in the house with them. Even if I did rule that their Digivices could open up Digigates.
- no longer allowed to have a Digimon above the In-Training Stage outside of combat in the real world. The local police do not take kindly to being intimidated by a 20 foot tall man made of fire.
- no longer allowed to attempt to force a Digimon to undergo Dark Evolution simply because they're bored with the normal Ultimate Stage.
- no longer allowed to play a musical prodigy.
- no longer allowed to play any character with a Computer skill higher than 3 after adding Intelligence.
- if the Tamer is any attempt to be a hacker character, it is instantly vetoed.
- Myotismon only falls for the 'I was just looking for the bathroom' bit once when he finds you snooping around his castle.
- even if this is the Evil Campaign
- no longer allowed to make a Robocop joke at Andromon's expense more than once per campaign.
Well this is a bit of a small list, and I admittedly don't have many things that I can say I was told 'no' about as a Player, considering I've really only ever GMed the system. I welcome seeing what other people have to add.
